A Night of Lights

Once upon a time, many of our ancestors used to carve silly and scary faces into pumpkins and other gourds, fill them with lit candles, and set them out in front of their homes. The tradition was supposed to scare away mean monsters and spooky spirits. It may have worked on the monsters. It clearly didn’t work on the witches, but this is because these witches aren’t bad. They’re just here to have fun, so they love the pumpkin tradition!
