Design & Details

A strapless dress starts this charming yet chilling clown costume. The dress has a sweetheart bodice made of black polyester satin. Extending from the bodice is a black-and-white striped peplum and a black overskirt with an exaggerated zig-zag hem. Gold ribbon trims add a structured look and shimmer, while pale pink pompoms add a playful touch.

Blush pink tulle with an all-over flocked polka-dot pattern shapes the skirt of the dress. The tulle is layered over color-coordinated satin to ensure the skirt is comfortable and not see-through. Meanwhile, a zipper down the back of the dress offers quick and easy dressing.

Elastic-edged arm bands with a black-and-white stripe pattern create the illusion of cold shoulders. The collar ruffle is made of the same tulle as the skirt and trimmed with black ribbon ties in place, and the costume is completed by a dainty clown hat. The hat has a black-and-white striped crown, pompoms on the front, and a scalloped brim, and can be secured with bobby pins threaded through attached elastic loops.
