Many know Louis the 16th as one of the most famous of the French kings. In fact, he was thelast king of France! The details around the end of his monarchy aren’t particularly fun to recall but many forget that it started at a pretty young age. He was never expected to become the king since he was the second born. That let him focus on learning everything from Latin to astronomy. But to everyone’s surprise, fate set him on the road to becoming the king when he was only eleven! That meant it was time to really freshen up his style and get his noble brow ready for the crown.

Design & Details

If you’ve got a little prince of your own who is destined for glory, this Louis XVI costume for kids is just the thing to get them ready. This is a Made By Us ensemble put together by our own court of in-house designers. The costume begins with a light jacket with golden trim and capris pants with an elastic waist. The gold vest has rich-looking faux buttons and the jabot is made of puffy chiffon that fastens with hook and loops around the neck. That’s really all you’ll need for your kiddo to feel kingly, but you can add a pomp wig or royal accessories to make any monarch magnificent!
